Child Safety Standards

Standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) · Effective date: 29 July 2026

Expense Tracker is operated by rockNdevel GmbH. This page sets out our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We have zero tolerance for CSAE. These standards apply to every part of the Expense Tracker service.

1. What Content Exists in Expense Tracker

Expense Tracker is a personal expense-recording app, not a social network. Being specific about what users can and cannot do is the starting point for assessing child safety risk:

• Users can upload receipt photographs and photos attached to an expense, write notes on their own expenses, name a group, and set a display name.
• Uploaded content is private by default. It becomes visible to other people only within a shared group the user has deliberately joined and deliberately shared a receipt with.
• There is no public profile, no user discovery, no friend or follow system, no direct messaging, and no public feed. Users cannot search for or contact other users, and there is no mechanism by which a stranger can reach a user.
• The Explore map shows only anonymous aggregate averages for places. It exposes no user, no name and no image.

This design removes the contact and grooming pathways that CSAE most often depends on. It does not remove our obligations, and the standards below apply in full.

2. Minimum Age

• Expense Tracker requires users to be at least 16 years old, or older where the age of digital consent in their country is higher.
• The Service is not directed at children and is not designed, marketed or presented for use by children.
• If we learn that an account belongs to someone below the applicable minimum age, we terminate the account and delete its data.

3. Prohibited Conduct and Content

The following are strictly prohibited and result in immediate account termination:

• Uploading, storing, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any format — image, video, audio or text — including in receipt photos, attached photos, expense notes, or group names.
• Sexualizing a person under 18 in any content posted to the Service.
• Using any part of the Service — including group names, invite codes or expense notes — to advertise, solicit, distribute or direct anyone to CSAE material or services, whether on or off our platform.
• Using the Service to facilitate the trafficking or sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Attempting to use the receipt-scanning feature to process imagery of a minor for any sexual purpose.

These prohibitions are also part of our Terms of Use, which every user accepts on sign-up.

4. Reporting CSAE

Because Expense Tracker has no user-to-user messaging or public profiles, there is no in-app report button on other people's content — there is no such content to encounter. Reports reach us by email instead:

By email: anyone — users, group members, or people who do not use Expense Tracker at all — can report suspected CSAE to office@rockndevel.com. Please include the account email address or group name involved, what you observed, and when, so we can act quickly. Child-safety reports are our highest priority and are escalated immediately on receipt.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

5. How We Respond

• Reports involving CSAE are prioritized above all other moderation work and reviewed as quickly as possible.
• Where a report is substantiated, we remove the content, terminate the account, and take reasonable measures to prevent the person from re-registering.
• We preserve relevant evidence and account records as required for referral to law enforcement, rather than deleting them immediately.
• We report apparent CSAM and CSAE to the competent law-enforcement authorities in Austria and, where relevant, elsewhere in the European Union, in line with applicable law.
• We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement investigating child sexual abuse and exploitation.

6. Legal Compliance

We comply with applicable CSAE laws in the jurisdictions where Expense Tracker is available. This includes Austrian criminal law provisions on the sexual abuse and exploitation of minors, EU Directive 2011/93/EU on combating the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children and child pornography, the EU Digital Services Act, and — where applicable to us — reporting obligations under the laws of other jurisdictions in which we operate. We also comply with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's App Store guidelines on child safety.

8. Review of These Standards

We review these standards regularly and update them as our service, applicable law or platform requirements change. In particular, if we ever add user-to-user communication, public profiles or any other feature that changes the risk picture described in section 1, we will update these standards and the reporting mechanisms before that feature ships. The effective date above reflects the most recent update.
